Deadline is reporting that Superman: Legacy writer-director James Gunn has found his Lex Luthor in Nicholas Hoult. Several sources close to the project confirmed Hoult’s involvement, but nothing has been confirmed by Gunn as of press time.
Hoult follows David Corenswet (Pearl) and Emmy-winning actress Rachel Brosnahan (Prime Video’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Superman and Lois Lane, respectively. The 26-year-old is out of contract in June next year, and has been repeatedly linked with a move abroad, with Premier League outfit Arsenal said to be particularly keen on signing the Germany international.
